If You Asked Me To Define Perfect, I’d Just Point To Biore Perfect Cleansing Water

There was a point in my life when I didn’t do much when it comes to cleansing my face… All I did was splash my face with water and facial wash followed by toner and moisturiser and I’d call it a day. That, to me, was my night time skincare routine.

How foolish I was! But of course, being only about 18 or 19 years old my skin was still strong enough to retain itself from looking like shit. Add that to the fact that teenaged me didn’t really wear all that much makeup anyway. As I got older, I started piling on more makeup and it came to the point where I needed a skincare routine to match. For most people, you can’t be a maximista with your makeup yet a minimalista with your skincare and not expect your skin to riot.

Take my word when I say this, but when it comes to skincare I trust Asian brands more than I would the American brands… although I admit that this doesn’t stop me from getting some Kiehl’s stuff here and there. Anyway, by this point I’m sure we all know or at least have heard of double cleansing where you first remove your makeup before then washing your face with water and a cleanser.

For that first step, I use Biore Perfect Cleansing Water and have been for about a year now. With that one year of experience down my belt, I can confidently say that this is the only cleansing water that works for me. I don’t use cleansing oil as I hate the feeling of putting oil on my skin and from my personal experience most cleansing waters in stores (especially drugstores) don’t do anything!

So I start my cleansing routine by squirting this cleansing water onto a cotton pad, then I sweep that sweet damp cotton all over my face– it feels like magic to see the layers and layers of makeup slowly melting away from my face. The best part is, unlike a lot of cleansing waters, it is not stripping at all. I don’t know what it is, but I actually feel like my face always feels bouncier and more moisturised after using this.

There is one thing which keeps this product from being truly perfect, however (and not just perfect in the dictionary written by moi) and that is the bulky bottle is difficult to take travelling. Biore has me covered, though. When I go outstation (which I do a lot) I carry with me a pack of the Biore Cleansing Wipes, which is basically the cleansing water pre-loaded into wipes that you can take with you in a handy, convenient pack. Like the cleansing water in the bottle, these wipes work just as wonderfully for removing makeup and has the added benefit of providing the wipes for you.

They say a blank canvas has unlimited possibilities, would you ever want to create art on a dirty piece of paper? If your answer is no (like me), then trust me getting a bottle of cleansing water to add into your skincare routine would be one of the best decisions in your life.

Biore Perfect Cleansing Water is easily available at all pharmacies for RM32.90.
