It started when I moved to Malaysia… been spending most of my life here rather than in my own country, Indonesia, since I was 9 years old up until now where I’m 21 years old and have just gotten my bachelor degree in Culinary Arts from Taylor’s University. I just completed my final internship at Nobu KL and am currently on the search for that perfect first job. I’ve basically been in love with art and music since high school, I always got the best marks in school for those subjects compared to others.

So I started my interest in makeup when I was in high school. I’m not good at applying it onto my face but I love buying it, call me makeup junkie. I started playing around with it when I got into university when I started watching a lot of tutorial videos like – Huda Beauty (before she even had her own line), Carli Bybel, Jeffree Star, Natasha Denona, Kathleen Lights. Basically every beauty guru in Youtube… even Bretmanrock – you name it. Aside from makeup I love to shop, I mean who doesn’t 😉 but mostly I will spend most of my time either in the kitchen, baking and cooking or at the gym – doing Muay Thai and yoga.

I’m not really into skincare but what I do is just wash my face with the Renewed Hope In A Jar from Philosophy – it’s my Holy Grail item which can’t live without. I use it after I remove my makeup with the micellar cleansing water from Garnier. Apart from that I really don’t have any fixed makeup routine since I am still experimenting.

For makeup, I always start with the Time Balm face primer then conceal with the NYX Color Correcting concealer—concealer is my most important step! You need to cover those dark circles. This is followed with applying Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect in 013 foundation using my Beauty Blender and finish it off with Ofra Translucent Highlighting Powder. I then do my brows with the ABH Dipbrow Pomade in Granite using the ABH no.7 eyebrow brush. Currently in love with the individual ABH eyeshadows. My eyeliner is the famous Stila Stay All Day Waterproof liquid eyeliner in Intense Black finish while for mascara I’ll use the Marc Jacobs Feather Noir Mascara in 10 for my lower eyelash and a mix of the Chanel Volume Mascara and the Benefit Roller Lash for my upper lashes. It’s the best combination for when you’re too lazy wear fake lashes.

I always bronze with Hoola from Benefit and for blush, I love The Balm Instain. Highlight with The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer and sometimes I’ll do contour… when I do, I always go with the ABH Contour Kit in Medium. For lips I can always count liquid lipsticks from Kylie or Jeffree Star. And I’ll finish it all off with the NYX Matte finish spray. I’d say that the brands I use the most are ABH then Lorac, Morphe, Colourpop and a dash of  Chanel, MAC, Guerlain… Haha– remember that I am a makeup junkie.. and that’s not even all of it.

I’m not really a big fan of luxury makeup… I lean more to the drugstore with a mix of top notch quality makeup. I’m in the beginner’s step of getting more into cruelty-free makeup. If I got the chance I would really love to start an affordable, cute and anti-cruelty skincare line—one with 100% natural and organic ingredients. I’d call it BLOEM, it means flower in Dutch. The problem is that right now, a lot of affordable skincare lines use bad, harmful ingredients such as high contents of mercury and not are not at all eco-friendly.
