If you’re in the know, it’d be pretty obvious to you that we here are big fans of Into The Gloss and, by extension, Glossier. Well, as much of a fan as you can be for someone who’s never tried any of their products since Glossier doesn’t ship internationally. But after ages of longingly drooling over pictures of Glossier’s sleek, minimalist-chic products online, it was finally time to bite the bullet and, with money and third party help, get their stuff over here to Malaysia and try it out for myself!

Amongst their carefully-curated lineup of products, the one that I really wanted to try the most was the Glossier Skin Tint.

Social media made me do it!

The Nivea Men’s Post Shave Balm is some pretty hyped up stuff.

I wouldn’t get into the history of how this men’s product started getting touted as this amazing makeup primer since I’m sure we’ve all heard it. I always saw people making preorders to buy this from overseas and stuff, so I assumed that we didn’t have it in Malaysia. But it turns out that we actually do (I got mine at Giant, but I’ll bet it’s at all the pharmacies as well. Make sure to look for it in the men’s section), but only the regular version and not the one for sensitive skin.

I’m not one for impulsive purchases but since I was in the middle of finals and was in desperate need for a pick me up, I decided to give it a try.

A’Pieu DD Cream Is Nothing Like Pepe Le Pew! (meaning it doesn’t stink)

I think one of the most overused buzzwords in the beauty industry is ‘HG’ AKA Holy Grail. When I first came across this term a few years ago I was a bit confused by it. I mean I was still fresh and a total n00b so I still associated the term with, like, religious imagery and stuff. Anyway, HG is supposed to be the term you use to describe the makeup product that is, like, your One True Love, your ride or die, your Main Chick, et cetera et cetera.

There are a few makeup products that usually get conferred HG status by magazines and the like, causing everyone to rush out and buy them. I’ve tried a couple, and tbh 9 times out of 10 they end up just… okay. If not downright disappointing (Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, I’m looking at you! Oily mofo). In my (roughly) 6 years of experience as a Beauty Overspender, I think I must have found about… two Holy Grail items.

And I’m about to tell you about one of them! Meet A’Pieu Dark Diminish Cream, or DD Cream if you’re nasty.
